What can we do for you?
Hydromassage Bath
Our bathing system provides luxurious, deep cleaning with a soothing massage spray. Only natural, environmentally friendly shampoos are used, paired to each dog's individual skin & coat needs. Every pet is dried by hand for the best finish to the coat.
No perfumes are used, as we focus on safe, functional products that simply leave your pet smelling naturally clean, with less risk to those with scent sensitivities or topical allergies. |
Pawdicures
One of the most important aspects of grooming is nail care. Dogs walk on their toes; overgrown nails put pressure on the foot, radiating that stress all the way up the body. Do your pet's health a favor and keep their nails regularly trimmed to an appropriate length. [See this helpful article.]
At Shampoodles, we primarily grind/file* nails to smooth out rough edges and get the nail as short as safely possible. *While most dogs tolerate the Dremel tool just fine, a very small percentage will not. For their safety, nails will only be clipped as able.

DeShedding
A variety of special tools and methods are used to remove the bulk of the dog's undercoat. While nothing can completely stop the natural shedding cycle, these techniques can dramatically reduce shedding, as well as improve skin & coat health. Also known as carding or Shed Less program; and don't underestimate the power of our "liquid tools" with a bath & blow out! The DeShedding process should be repeated on a regular schedule to keep loose hair to a minimum.

Hand Stripping
Hand stripping is an ancient technique traditionally used on terriers and other wire coated breeds. Stripping removes dead hair at the follicle, and aids in retaining proper coat texture and color. It can also encourage healthier skin by decreasing undercoat overgrowth. Similar techniques can be used on other coat types as well, to achieve correct breed-specific results. Spaniels, for example, are traditionally groomed for the show ring using a form of stripping techniques.
A combination of hand stripping and clipping/scissoring is often used in the salon for pets, in order to provide comparable results with less stress on the dog. (For instance, clippers used in sensitive areas.) Stripping will only be offered to dogs with a coat texture that lends itself to easy pulling. Done properly in this way, stripping is perfectly humane and painless. Why might you want your wire-haired dog hand stripped rather than clipped? Benefits include maintaining correct coat texture, which in turn offers an easier to care for coat that matts less and stays cleaner. Plus they look beautiful like a show dog!
